The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred just after 02:30 a.m. on December 17, 2023, on I-75 Southbound near the on-ramp from Mercer University Drive.
It was reported that a Toyota Camry, driven by 25-year-old Tyree Harris of Macon, was traveling south on I-75 near the on-ramp from Mercer University Drive when he lost control and struck the guardrail. Harris was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on the scene by Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley. The next of kin has been notified.
