The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision that occurred at 12:29 a.m. on Broadway near Greter Street.
It was reported that a group of motorcycles were traveling south on Broadway near Greter Street when three of them were struck by a Ford Expedition, also traveling south on Broadway. A 45-year-old male, of Macon, who was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle was pronounced deceased, after he was transported to the Atrium Navicent Health.
A 60-year-old Theodore Newton and 34-year-old Manuel Newton, both of Macon, who were riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, were transported to the Atrium Navicent Health and are in stable condition at this time.
The driver of the Expedition, 48-year-old Lawrence James Bradley, of Macon, was treated and released on the scene. No one else was injured during the incident. The next of kin has not been notified at this time.
Bradley was questioned by Bibb County Sheriff’s Office collision investigators. Bradley was then transported to the Bibb County jail, after being cleared by Atrium Navicent Health staff, and charged with Vehicle Homicide 1st Degree Felony. He is being held without bond at this time.
