The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred in the 1800 block of Woodliff Street. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 12:27 a.m.
It was reported that 39-year-old Antonio Mason was shot and transported to the Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance. Mason was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. According to Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone, the next of kin has been notified.
This incident is under investigation. No further information is available at this time. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
