The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred within the 1000 block of Triple Hill Drive at 3:35 a.m. Sunday morning.
On January 14, 2024, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a distress call reporting shots fired in the area. When Deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered a forty-two-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Atrium Health Navicent for medical treatment. No one else was reported injured. According to Medical Staff, the victim, Clifford Tyrone Browner of Macon was pronounced deceased at 4:18 a.m… According to the Medical Staff, the next of kin has been notified.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
