The Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators charged a Macon man with Murder in connection to the shooting death of 27-year-old Gabrilla Harris, on May 21, 2022.
Investigators charged 28-year-old Corey Deshawn Jackson, of Macon, who was initially charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felony will now also be charged with Murder. He is being held without bond at this time.

Person Of Interest Located
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators made contact with 28-year-old Corey Deshawn Jackson just after 12:30 p.m. Jackson met with deputies at the Sheriff’s Office Investigations Office. He was questioned and later arrested.
Jackson is being charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon at this time. He is being held without bond at this time. Jackson also has a Probation Violation Hold. More charges are pending an investigation.

Asking for the Public’s Assistance Locating Person Of Interest
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping to locate a male suspect, wanted for questioning in a death investigation.
Investigators are trying to locate 28-year-old Corey Deshawn Jackson, of Macon. Jackson is a person of interest in the shooting death of 27-year-old Gabrilla Harris. Jackson is six foot three inches tall, and weighs approximately one hundred and ninety pounds.

Death Investigation on Log Cabin Drive
The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that was reported to have occurred 4151 Log Cabin Drive, Windy Hill Manor Apartments just before 12:30 a.m.
Deputies responded to 4151 Log Cabin Drive, Windy Hill Manor Apartments, regarding a person shot. Upon arrival deputies found 27-year-old Gabrilla Harris, of Macon, who had been shot. She was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital. Harris was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
The events leading up to the incident are still under investigation. No one else was injured during the incident. Next of kin has been notified at this time. There is no information on the suspect currently.
