The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred within the 3800 block of Andrews Drive. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 1:04 a.m., Tuesday morning.

It was reported that a suspicious male made entry into the rear of an occupied residence when he was shot. Deputies responded to the scene and discovered a male behind a residence, unresponsive with a gunshot wound. The male had succumbed to his injury. No one else was reported injured as a result of the incident.

Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley pronounced the male deceased on the scene. The deceased has been identified as 51-year-old David Maynard Morris Jr. of Macon. According to Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley, the next of kin has been notified.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

Death Investigation on Andrews Drive

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred within the 3800 block of Andrews Drive. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 1:04 a.m., Tuesday morning.
