The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a female, who was found in a creek located off of Elm Street. The Macon-Bibb 911 Center received the call at 8:46 a.m., on September 5, 2022.
The female has been identified as, 47-year-old Norma Christine Cannon, of Macon. At this time there are no signs of foul play. The investigation is ongoing, and investigators are continuing to gather information about the circumstances surrounding this incident.
According to Coroner Leon Jones, the next of kin has been notified. Coroner Jones also stated that the female was sent to the G.B.I. Crime Lab, so that an autopsy could be performed in an effort to determine the cause of death. The autopsy results are pending.
