Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Navicent Center just after 3:30pm Thursday in reference to a 17 month old boy shot at 6381 Thomaston Road, Lot 2. It was reported that 36 year old Ronnie Howard, the boyfriend of Brooke Carroll, who is the mother of 17 month old Victor Carroll, was cleaning a gun when the gun discharged. Victor Carroll was struck in the face. Howard and Brooke Carroll drove Victor to the Navicent Center where he was later pronounced dead. Both Howard and Brooke Carroll were interviewed by Bibb Sheriff’s Investigators and both stated Howard’s gun accidently discharged. Howard was charged with reckless conduct and cruelty to children 2nd degree. He was transported to the Bibb County Law enforcement Complex where he was booked on the charges.
