The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting incident that was reported to the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 2:19 p.m. at the OYO Hotel located at 4952 Romeiser Drive.

It was reported that a male and a female were found deceased with gunshot wounds inside of a room.

The male was identified as 43-year-old Michael Ray Reid Jr., from Merced, California. The female was identified as 44-year-old Tammy Sherrell Calhoun, from Macon. According to Coroner Leon Jones, the next of kin has been notified.

Both Reid and Calhoun were taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab, so an autopsy could be conducted. This investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.

Death Investigation at Romeiser Drive

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting incident that was reported to the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 2:19 p.m. at the OYO Hotel located at 4952 Romeiser Drive.

It was reported that a male and a female were found deceased with gunshot wounds inside of a room.

The names of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.

The investigation is in its early stages. Additional information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
