On March 29, 2023, at 6:31 p.m., the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to Brookhaven Apartments located at 4861 Brookhaven Rd in reference to a domestic call.
While en route, deputies were advised that a person had been shot at the same location. When deputies arrived, they discovered a Hispanic male unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley pronounced the victim, later identified as 37-year-old Christopher Matthew Rachalla , deceased at the scene.
A person of interest is in custody.
