Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators are investigating the shooting incident involving 43-year-old Antraz Burkett inside of a home in the 800 block of Perry Drive, just after 10:30 am.
It was reported that Burkett was involved in a verbal altercation with a female that lives at this residence. The verbal altercation became physical resulting in Burkett being shot. Burkett was pronounced dead on scene by the coroner’s office. It was reported that Burkett attacked the female with a hammer striking her in the face and head several times. Burkett was shot by the husband of the female as he was attacking her.
At this time, this incident has been found to be a case of self-defense.
