Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to what was reported as a traffic accident with injuries just before 3:30 p.m. this afternoon at the intersection of Broadway and Eisenhower Parkway. It was reported that a 2002 Freightliner Semi Tractor Trailer Truck was traveling north on Broadway. The truck was driven by 49 year old James Harrison of Danville Georgia. A 2003 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling west on Eisenhower Parkway. It was reported that the Chevrolet Malibu ran the red light at the intersection of Eisenhower Parkway and Broadway as the driver was attempting to make a left turn onto Eisenhower Parkway and was struck by the Freightliner Truck.
The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu was taken to the Navicent Health Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. She was identified as 68 year old Gloria Holmes, of Warner Robins Georgia. The driver of the Semi Truck was not injured.
