Update: Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Fatal Traffic Accident in North Bibb
Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies received a call of a single vehicle accident with injuries at around 12:15AM Wednesday morning, at Sheraton Drive and Sheraton Court.
When deputies arrived at the scene they found a 2015 Toyota Scion partially under a semi-trailer in a parking lot just off of Sheraton Drive. It was reported by witnesses that the Scion was traveling north on Sheraton Drive approaching Sheraton Court. The vehicle struck a guide wire causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The Scion continued north into a parking lot, striking a tree and semi-trailer that was parked in the parking lot. The driver of the Scion was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 53 year old Marty L. Long, of McCaysville Georgia. The next of kin has been notified.
