Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested two Macon men in connection with the homicide of Dakwaun Tyre Faulks, Monday afternoon. Dawan Jasentay Daniels Jr., age 18, from Macon, and Zontravion Keontae Hernandez, age 17, also from Macon, were taken into custody and later arrested in connection to this incident.
Witnesses stated that Faulks and Daniels were involved in a confrontation with Hernandez when the fatal incident occurred. Gunfire was exchanged and Faulks was fatally wounded. The events leading up to the fatal shooting are still being investigated.
Dawan Jasentay Daniels Jr. was arrested for the charge of Murder. Daniels was also served a separate Bench Warrant from the State Ct. He is currently being held, without bond at the Bibb County L.E.C.
Zontravion Keontae Hernandez was also arrested for the charge of Murder. Hernandez is currently being held, without bond, at the Bibb County L.E.C.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is Investigating a Homicide
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred just after 7:00pm Sunday evening. Deputies responded to the Navicent Health Medical Center in regards to a person being brought in with a gunshot wound. Upon arrival they found a male with a gunshot to the left side of the back. The victim was identified as 18yr old Dakwaun Tyre Faulks, of Macon. Faulks was pronounced deceased by Navicent staff. It was reported that Faulks was driven to the Navicent Med Center by private vehicle. The next of kin has been notified. No one else was injured during the incident. There is no suspect or incident location information at this time. Additional information will be released as soon it becomes available.
