The Bibb County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit arrested a Bibb County Sheriff’s Corrections Deputy on Thursday, March 3, 2016. Andrea Bowman, 27 year old, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and violation of oath of office.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit and the Bibb County SWAT Team served a search warrant on Thursday at around 1:30PM, at a room at 6000 Harrison Road, the Bridgeview Inn and Suites. An investigation was launched after receiving information prior to Thursday’s search warrant that Bowman was seen at the motel on more than one occasion at a room where drugs were suspected of being sold and with an individual suspected of selling drugs.
Other suspects arrested in yesterday’s search warrant were;
Maurice Jones – 20yoa – Charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Trevonte Harbin – 17yoa – Charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Shereace Bunn – 24yoa – Charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Rodeco Jones – 34yoa – Charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, participation in criminal street gang activity and a failure to appear warrant from Byron PD.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs Division also conducted an internal investigation. Bowman was found to be in violation of the following policies of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office; violation of rules, unbecoming conduct, conformance to laws, and associations. Bowman was terminated as an employee with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office by Sheriff David Davis this afternoon.
