Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators charged two individuals in connection with the death of 18-year-old Shamarian Chatfield.

The incident took place on October 12, 2021, at the Neighborhood Gas Station, located at 3102 Napier Avenue. Investigators interviewed 24-year-old Andrew Raqati Hollis and 21-year-old Reshawn Taylor, Monday afternoon. After being interviewed about the incident, both Hollis and Taylor were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. Hollis and Taylor were both charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Felony-(Murder).

Hollis and Taylor are currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond. The original media release is attached below.

Homicide Investigation on Napier Avenue

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred at the Neighborhood Gas Station located at 3102 Napier Avenue, at 5:17 p.m.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a person down. As deputies arrived, they found 18-year-old Shamarian Chatfield, unresponsive with a gunshot wound.

Chatfield was transported to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance, where he was later pronounced deceased due to his injuries. According to Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley, the next of kin has been notified.
