On Saturday afternoon, December 9, 2017, at around 04:00 p.m., the US Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force and Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies located 23 year old Trayvion Lamonte Burney at an address on Vacation Dr. They were able to take Burney into custody without incident. Burney was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and booked on the charge of murder, aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and probation violation. He currently has no bond.
Burney was charged in reference to the shooting and homicide that occurred at 1013 Dennis Street on October 31, 2017. Jackie Dewayne Rouse, 38 years old, was fatally shot. Quincy Bernard Emory, 31 years old, was also shot. Emory’s wound was not life-threatening.
On Friday, December 8, 2017, warrants were served on 25 year old Anterrio Tremaine Stinson also for the murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery in connection with the shooting and homicide at 1013 Dennis Street on October 31, 2017. Stinson was already in the Bibb County Jail on charges related to the fatal shooting of 24 year old Jonathan Risby and the shooting of 39 year old Tanvonya Smith that occurred on Friday, November 17, 2017 on Fairview Avenue. Smith’s injury was not life-threatening. Bond was denied on Stinson. He remains in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
