Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators, with the assistance of the Gang Unit, and Special Investigations Unit arrests suspects in connection with an aggravated assault investigation.

On July 24, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., Investigators identified and arrested twenty-year-old David Vincent Pitts, twenty-four-year-old Rontravious Desmond Williams, and a fifteen-year-old juvenile in connection with a recent aggravated assault incident at Baymont Inn & Suites on July 11, 2023. Also arrested was twenty-eight-year-old Travion Lorenzo Veal. The arrests occurred after a thorough investigation and execution of a search warrant at the Baymont Inn & Suites. During the search multiple firearms were recovered, one of which was reported stolen.

David Vincent Pitts and Rontravious Desmond Williams were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center from Investigations Headquarters. The fifteen-year-old juvenile suspect was transported to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center from Investigations Headquarters. All three suspects face charges of two counts of Aggravated Assault, two counts of Reckless Conduct, and two counts of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony.

Travion Lorenzo Veal was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Veal was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Aggravated Assault Investigation at Baymont Inn & Suites

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that occurred at Baymont Inn and Suites located at 3680 Riverside Drive on July 11, 2023, at 3:03 p.m.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene and made contact with a 62-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds. Deputies also came in contact with a 33-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victims to a medical facility for treatment. They are both listed in stable condition. No one else was injured during the incident.
