Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Fatality Investigators, with the assistance of the Gang Unit, Criminal Intelligence Unit, Drug Unit and the Cobb County Police Department arrested, 30-year-old Link Pair in connection with the death of 48-year-old Hoa Tran. The incident occurred on May 3, 2023, in the parking lot of 5080 Riverside Drive.
It was determined by Investigators that Pair, was involved in the fatal accident. Link Pair was taken into custody on May 11, 2023, in Cobb County without incident. He was transported to the Bibb County Jail on May 12, 2023, and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Hit and Run Resulting in Serious Injury or Death and First-Degree Homicide by Vehicle. Pair is currently being held without bond.

Assistance Requested in Fatal Traffic Collision on Riverside Drive
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred just after 9:00 p.m. in the parking lot at 5080 Riverside Drive.
It was reported that a white Toyota Tacoma was traveling north in the parking lot headed towards Wesleyan Drive when it struck a moped. The driver of the Toyota Tacoma stopped for a second and then drove off. The driver of the moped 48-year-old Hoa Tran, of Macon, was transported to Atrium Health. Tran was pronounced deceased at 10:26 p.m. by staff. No one else was injured during the incident. The next of kin have been notified by Coroner Leon Jones.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of the Toyota Tacoma. Anyone with information on the vehicle or driver is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
