Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Investigators, with the assistance of the Bibb County Special Investigation Unit, Gang Unit, Analysis Unit , U.S. Marshals Southeastern Fugitive Task Force, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives(ATF) Agents arrested 23-year-old Treyvon Deshun Walker in connection to the death of 28-year-old Kaneza Rikial Owens.
Walker was taken into custody Tuesday morning just after 11:00 a.m. at a residence located in the 1500 block of Dexter Avenue. He was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center where he is charged with Murder and Probation Violation. He is being held without bond.

Death Investigation on Log Cabin Drive
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened at 3867 Log Cabin Drive, Green Meadows Apartments, just before 04:00 a.m.
Deputies responded to Green Meadows Apartments regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival deputies heard a gunshot in the apartment. When deputies made entry, they found 28-year-old Kaneza Rikial Owens unresponsive. It was reported that Owens and her boyfriend 23-year-old Treyvon Deshun Walker had been arguing when the shooting happened. Walker fled the scene on foot. Owens was transported to Atrium Health where she was later pronounced deceased by staff. The next of kin has been notified by Coroner Leon Jones. No one else was injured during the incident.
Walker was last seen wearing a black jacket and black shorts, he is believed to be armed and dangerous. The Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone with information on Walker’s location to contact them. A picture of Walker is attached to this release.
