Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested a 14-year-old juvenile in connection with the death investigation of 22-year-old Tylik Emmanuel Young. The original incident occurred on December 3, 2022, in the 1800 block of Third Avenue.

Investigators identified the 14-year-old male juvenile as the suspect involved in connection with Young’s death and had a warrant issued for his arrest. The juvenile turned himself over to Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators Tuesday evening.

The juvenile is currently being held at the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center, without bond, for the charge of Murder.

Death Investigation on Third Avenue

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened in the 1800 block of Third Avenue just after 5:00 p.m.

Deputies responded to the 1800 block of Third Avenue regarding to a person shot. Upon arrival deputies found 22-year-old Tylik Emmanuel Young with gunshot wounds. Tylik was pronounced deceased on scene by Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone. A second victim, 18-year-old Jordan Shamone Young, was transported to the Atrium Health hospital by personal vehicle, where he is listed in stable condition at this time. No one else was injured during the incident. Next of kin has been notified.

There is no information on the suspect currently.
