A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigator has made an arrest in connection with the death investigation on Heron Street.
On October 29, 2023, just before 5:00 a.m., Sunday morning, a person of interest was transported from Investigations Headquarters to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. The person of interest has been identified as seventeen-year-old Tylik Mantrez Green of Macon. Tylik Mantrez Green faces a charge of Murder, in connection with the death of fourteen-year-old Tre’mon Jarrell. Green does not have a bond.

UPDATE: Death Investigation on Heron Street
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Heron Street, just after 8:00 p.m., Saturday evening.
Deputies responded to the intersection of Heron Street and Wren Avenue regarding a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, they located fourteen-year-old Tre’mon Jarrell suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Atrium Health Navicent Hospital by ambulance. According to Medical Staff, he was pronounced deceased at 9:05 p.m… According to Coroner Ronnie Miley, the next of kin has been notified.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to this incident. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
