Just before 2:00pm today Charles Knight turned himself into deputies at the Bibb County Jail. Knight was transported to the Detective Bureau to be interviewed. After the interview he was transported to the Bibb County Jail where he was booked on charges of Aggravated Assault. He is being held on a $27,700.00 bond.

Public’s Assistance Needed in Locating Shooting Suspect
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 46yr old Charles Knight wanted in the aggravated assault of 40yr old Charles Richard. It was reported that around 11pm Saturday night, Knight and Richard were involved in a physical altercation outside of 3979 Shakespeare Boulevard. It was reported that during the altercation Knight produced a gun and shot Richard in the chest.
Richard is listed in stable condition at Navicent Health .
Knight is 5”7 in height, one hundred and fifty pounds with black hair and brown eyes. A photo of Knight is attached.
