Members of the U.S. Marshals’ Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, located and arrested 27 year old Montago Javon Mann of Macon, at around 1:30p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Mann was located at a residence on James Street. Mann was taken into custody, without incident.
Mann was wanted in connection to an Aggravated Assault that took place on Case Street, July 21, 2018. Please see the attached media releases.
Mann is currently being held at the Bibb County L.E.C., without bond, for the charge of Aggravated Assault.

Update: Public’s Assistance Requested in Locating Person of Interest
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 27 year old Montago Javon Mann, of Macon, in connection with the Aggravated Assault incident that took place on Case Street, Saturday morning. Aggravated Assault in west Macon
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault that took place in the 3600 block of Case Street. The incident occurred at around 12:45a.m., on Saturday. When deputies arrived, they found that 28 year old John Willie Ellison of Macon had been shot in the chest area.
According to witnesses, the suspect fled the scene, headed towards Mumford Road. The suspect was described as a black male. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue shorts, and he had on black shoes. The suspect is approximately 5 feet 8 inches in height and his weight is around 130 lbs. The suspect possibly had braids on the back of his head. He was also seen wearing a stocking cap. The suspect was armed with a black handgun.
The investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
Paramedics transported Ellison to the Navicent Health Center. He is currently listed to be in critical, but stable condition. No one else was injured during this incident.
