The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Kaishawn Conover of Macon in connection with the shooting of 30-year-old Louis Jackson, of Macon. It was reported that several males were fighting at Church’s Chicken located at 1425 Georgia Avenue. When deputies arrived the males had left the scene. Moments later deputies were dispatched to Vineville Avenue at Corbin Avenue in reference to a person shot in the street. During the investigation at the scene, deputies received information of the location of the suspect and suspect’s vehicle. The suspect identified as Kaishawn Conover was located in the Napier Avenue area. Conover and another male passenger in the vehicle were detained and transported to the Bibb Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division where they were interviewed. The passenger was released after he was interviewed and has not been charged at this time. Conover was charged with aggravated assault and driving under the influence of drugs. He was transported to the Bibb County law Enforcement Center. He has a bond of $1,850.00 on the DUI charge. Conover will have to go before a Magistrate Judge for bond on the aggravated assault charge.
