The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of an aggravated assault that is now an active homicide investigation. The incident occurred at the intersection of Lamar Street at Ferguson Street. The incident took place Wednesday night just before 9:30 p.m.
It was reported that deputies arrived on scene and found 19-year-old Jahfari Shakwun Bullard , of Macon, laying in the street suffering from a single gunshot wound to the torso.
The circumstances surrounding the incident is still under investigation.
Bullard was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Bullard was pronounced deceased at 1:25 a.m.
