Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrest two in connection with a death investigation that began from an incident that occurred on Flamingo Drive at 12:05 a.m.
At 3:03 a.m., Investigators received information on the location of the two persons of interest linked to the incident that occurred on Flamingo Drive. Deputies and Investigators responded to the 2000 block of Old Clinton Road and made contact with both subjects who had an unresponsive one-year-old child in their possession. Both men were transported to Investigations Headquarters to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The first person of interest was identified as nineteen-year-old Akiem Jamal Jordan of Macon. Akiem Jordan is the father of the deceased one-year-old child. The second person of interest was identified as twenty-year-old Rahem Devar Ferrell of Macon. After further investigation, Akiem Jamal Jordan and Rahem Devar Ferrell were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Rahem Devar Ferrell faces charges of Murder and two counts of Aggravated Assault. Akiem Jamal Jordan faces a charge of Murder in connection with the death of his one-year-old daughter. He also faces three counts of Aggravated Assault. Both are being held without bond.
Janet Dorn is listed in stable condition.

Death Investigation on Old Clinton Road
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that was discovered within the 2000 block of Old Clinton Road, Wednesday at 3:03 a.m.
Deputies responded to a disturbance within the 3800 block of Flamingo Drive just after 12:05 a.m., after a call was made to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center. Deputies arrived and discovered a female, later identified as Janet Dorn, injured from a violent physical altercation. Also present was the victim’s daughter Shandrea Spencer, who called to report the incident. Paramedics responded to the scene to treat the victim for injuries sustained. The victim reported that her daughter’s child had been taken by the man who assaulted her, who is also the father of the child. The victim was transported to a medical facility for further treatment. A BOLO was placed out for the subject and a white passenger vehicle that he occupied with another subject.
At 3:03 a.m. within the 2000 block of Old Clinton Road, the vehicle, child, and father were located. The one-year-old female child was found unresponsive being held by her father. Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley pronounced the child deceased on the scene. According to Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley, there will be an autopsy.
Two persons of interest have been identified and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Headquarters for further investigation. Investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident.
