Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies arrested two suspects involved in a robbery that took place at the River Walk Park on Sunday at around 4:15p.m. It was reported that the victim, Ernest Godwin, was sitting in the passenger seat of his van when two suspects approached. One of the male suspects hit Godwin and forced him out of his van and took a pack of cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash from his wallet. Godwin told the suspects that he was calling 911, the suspects fled the scene. No one was injured during the incident.
Deputies arrived on scene and gave a “lookout” of the suspects’ description over the Sheriff’s Office radio. Both of the suspects were located a short time later and taken into custody.
Tondi Lind Norsworthy Jr., age 27 from Macon. Norsworthy is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charge of Robbery.
Travis Lee Clark, age 28 from Macon. Clark is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charge of Robbery.
