On March 30, 2020, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators along with patrol units were able to locate two male suspects at an address in the 4000 block of St. Charles Place, just after 10:00 p.m.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators were able to determine that 17-year-old Veantae Lee Bright and his 16-year-old brother were involved in the shooting of a 15-year-old male on D Street.
Bright was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Aggravated Assault. He is being held without bond at this time. Bright’s 16-year-old brother was taken to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center and charged with Aggravated Assault.

Aggravated Assault Incident in South Macon
The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that was reported to have occurred at the corner of D Street and E Street at 7:43 p.m.
It was reported that there was a physical altercation in the street. During the altercation, a male suspect pulled out a firearm and fired multiple shots. A 15-year-old male was struck once in the left leg. He was transported to the Navicent Health Medical Center and is listed in stable condition at this time. No one else was injured in the incident. There is no information on the suspect at this time.
