The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office wants to advise motorist that the traffic lights are out in the area of Pio Nono Ave and Eisenhower Pkwy due to the power being out because of a single car accident. It was reported that 17yr old male Jesutoyosi Awoyeye of Macon was driving a Nissan Pathfinder when he lost control making a left from Eisenhower Pkwy to go South on Pio Nono Ave and struck a power pole. No one was injured in the accident.
Georgia Power is advising that the power in the area will be out between five to eight hours. We are asking that the public please avoid the area if possible and use an alternate route until the power is returned and all the traffic lights are working again.
