Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies are currently working an oil spill that started at Interstate 75 north at Eisenhower Parkway and extends northbound past Interstate 75 north at the Interstate 16 split earlier this morning. The spill has caused some minor traffic accidents.
Motorists are asked to avoid this area if possible. If they must travel this area of Interstate 75 north, please be cautious and slow down. It was reported that a truck carrying a container of canola oil caused the spill. The truck and driver have been located and stopped on Interstate 75 north at mile marker 193. More information will be released once it becomes available.
