Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies answered a call of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 4300 block of Pio NoNo Ave just before 6:50 a.m. Wednesday morning. It was reported that a Ford F-350, driven by 74 year old Robert Moran of Macon, was traveling south on Pio NoNo Ave. Moran did not see the pedestrian, crossing the roadway and struck him.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene by Coroner Leon Jones. The name of the pedestrian will be released once next of kin is notified.
The accident is currently being investigated and no charges have been made at this time. Anyone with information about this accident is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
