The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision with serious injury that was reported to the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 8:41 p.m.
It was reported that an 18-wheeler was traveling south in the 4700 block of Pio Nono Avenue and had slowed to a stop to make a left turn, when a male driver in a Hyundai traveling in the same direction collided with the rear of the 18-wheeler.
The male driver of the Hyundai was transported by ambulance to Atrium Health Navicent where he is listed in critical condition.
There were no other injuries reported.
The name of the driver will not be released at this time.
