The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision with injuries that occurred on I-16 eastbound, just before the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard exit ramp, around 6:00 p.m.
It was reported that a Honda Civic traveling east on I-16 lost control and went into the construction area. The vehicle then struck a piece of construction equipment. The driver of the Honda, a 23-year-old male from Macon, was transported to the Atrium Health hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition currently. No one else was injured during the incident.
