Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of an overturned tractor trailer truck on I-75 North near Arkwright Road just after 4:00 a.m. this morning. When deputies arrived at the accident scene they found the 1998 Freightliner Tractor Trailer Truck turned over on its right side just off the right side of the northbound lanes of I-75, in the emergency lane and shoulder of the roadway. Inside the vehicle they located the driver, 46 year old Michael Gadson of Savannah Georgia.
The accident was called in by a motorist that drove up on the tractor trailer truck turned over on its side. Gadson was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the accident. His condition is reported as being good and stable.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Macon-Bibb Fire Department and wrecker service is working to get the roadway clear. One northbound lane is open at this time on I-75 North between Arkwright Road and Riverside Drive. Motorists are asked to be cautious and drive slowly through this area.
