The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident that occurred just after 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning on I-475 south, just north of Hartley Bridge Road. It was reported that a 2007 Ford F150 Truck, driven by 47 year old Melinda Bush of Macon, was traveling south in the middle lane of I-475. A vehicle traveling in the left southbound lane came over into the middle lane and cut over in front of Bush’s vehicle. Bush swerved to the left to avoid a collision with the unidentified vehicle. She lost control of the F150 and went off the roadway, flipping down the ravine. The other vehicle continued south. No information was available for the vehicle.
Bush was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital for her injuries. She is listed in stable condition.
