The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident involving a pedestrian that occurred at the intersection of Pio Nono Ave and Suwannee Ave at around 5:00p.m. Saturday. It was reported that 35 year old Travis Anderson of Macon , was traveling south in the left lane of Pio Nono Avenue in a 2016 Hyundai Sonata. As Anderson approached the intersection of Pio Nono Avenue and Suwannee Ave,, 60 year old Charles Cooks of Macon walked into the path of his vehicle, from the center lane. Cooks was struck by the Hyundai.
Cooks was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. He is listed to be in critical condition. Anderson was not injured.
