The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident with injuries that occurred at 10:43 a.m. on Shurling Drive at New Clinton Road.
It was reported that a red Ford Focus, driven by 32-year-old Terry Tuft, of Macon, was traveling south on New Clinton Road and failed to stop at the red traffic light while making a left onto Shuring Drive. Tuft’s vehicle was struck by a black Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by 35-year-old Terwaska Shawarne Lockett, of Macon, traveling west on Shurling Drive. There were three juveniles in the vehicle with Tuft a 12-year-old male, and a 4-year-old male received minor injuries. A 5-year-old male, which was in the car, received injuries to the head.
Tuft and the three juveniles were taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center. At this time all are listed in stable condition. Lockett was treated and released on the scene. Charges are pending an investigation.
