Traffic Accident With Injuries On I-75 North
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident with injuries that occurred on I-75 North near I-16. Deputies responded to the accident at around 11:45PM Friday night. It was reported that a 2003 Toyota Corolla, driven by 19 year old Jamie Campbell of Macon, was traveling north on I-75 in the right lane when a 2001 Honda Accord, driven by 32 year old Charles Portivent of Warner Robins, was approaching from behind. The Honda struck the Toyota, knocking the Toyota into the guardrail.
Portivent was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital where he is reported to be listed in critical condition. Campbell and two passengers in her vehicle were also transported to the Navicent Health Hospital for minor injuries. They are listed in stable condition.
