The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident with injuries involving a pedestrian that occurred at around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday evening on Broadway near Ash Street. It was reported that 62 year old Mark Whittlesey of Macon was standing in the southbound lanes of Broadway when he was struck by a 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo traveling Southbound on Broadway. The driver of the vehicle is 23 year old Kenneth Gray of Warner Robins.
Whittlesey was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital to be treated for his injuries. He is in critical but stable condition at this time.
The accident is currently under investigation and no charges have been made at this time. Anyone with information about this accident is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
