Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a pedestrian accident with injuries at the intersection of Eisenhower Parkway at Houston Avenue just before 12:30 p.m. Friday afternoon. It was reported that a 1989 Mack Dump Truck, driven by 60 year old Floyd Barron of Macon, was making a left turn onto Eisenhower Parkway from the northbound lanes of Houston Avenue. The pedestrian, identified as 58 year old Michael Williamson, was crossing the westbound lanes of Eisenhower Parkway when he was struck by the Dump Truck.
Williamson was taken to the Navicent Health Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Barron was not injured in the accident.
The accident is under investigation and no charges have been made at this time. Anyone with information about this accident is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
