The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident with injuries that occurred on Eisenhower Pkwy near Fulton Mill Rd just before 07:00pm Wednesday evening. It was reported that a gray Honda Civic, driven by 34yr old Kevin Barnard Jr., of Lizella, was traveling west on Eisenhower Pkwy. Barnard crossed over the center line and then struck a blue Chevy Malibu that was traveling east on Eisenhower Pkwy. The vehicle was driven by 56yr old Carla Gilmore of Macon.
Eisenhower Pkwy, between Fulton Mill Rd and Knoxville Rd, is blocked while the accident is being investigated. The Sheriff’s Office is asking that everyone avoid the area until the scene is cleared. Barnard and Gilmer were taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center to be treated for their injuries. Gilmer is listed in stable condition. Barnard is list in critical but stable at this time.
