Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a traffic accident with injuries just at around 8:45AM this morning. The accident occurred in the 3000 block of Broadway. It was reported that 57 year old Willie Hollingsworth, of Macon was driving a 1988 Kawasaki Ninja 600R motorcycle north on Broadway in the right northbound lane. Hollingsworth’s son, Willie Hollingsworth Jr. was a passenger on the motorcycle. Jeremy Binkley, 58 years old, of Macon was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup, traveling south in the left southbound lane of Broadway. Binkley was making a left turn into a business in the 3000 block of Broadway and as his truck crossed into the northbound lanes, the motorcycle struck the passenger side of the pickup.
Hollingsworth and his son were transported to the Medical Center Navicent Health to be treated for injuries sustained from the accident. Willie Hollingsworth is listed in serious condition. Willie Hollingsworth Jr. is listed in stable condition. Binkley was checked by EMS at the scene but was not transported for any injuries.
