The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident that occurred on Hartley Bridge Road at School Road, just before 10:00 a.m.
It was reported that a 2018 Ram pickup truck driven by a 47-year-old male was traveling on Hartley Bridge Road. A black vehicle traveling in front of the truck made an abrupt lane change, causing the truck to go into oncoming traffic.
When the truck entered oncoming traffic it collided with a 2015 Honda FIT driven by an 87-year-old male. The 87-year-old male was transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries. At this time he is listed in critical condition.
The vehicle that made the abrupt lane change did not stop. The only description of the vehicle is that it is black in color.
