The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident involving a pedestrian that occurred in the 1800 block of Jeffersonville Road at around 8:45p.m. It was reported that Motasem AliMuf Magairah, age 30 from Macon, was traveling east on Jeffersonville Road.
As Magairah approached the intersection of Jeffersonville Road and Roseview Drive, he noticed a man, (37 year old Anthony Harris of Macon), in a wheelchair, in the middle of his lane of travel. Magairah swerved in an attempt to avoid a collision. Harris was struck with the driver’s side front fender of Magairah’s vehicle.
Harris was transported to a local hospital, by ambulance, where he is listed to be in stable condition.
