The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident involving a pedestrian that occurred in the 2000 block of Pio Nono Avenue at around 8:55p.m. Friday night. It was reported that Marquita King, age 31 from Twiggs County, was traveling south in the left lane of Pio Nono Avenue in a 2004 Acura TL. When King approached the intersection of Pio Nono Avenue and Catherine Street, 50 year old Michael Miles of Macon walked into the path of her vehicle, from the center lane. Miles was struck by the Acura.
Miles was later transported to a local hospital by ambulance. He is listed to be in stable condition. King and her passenger were not injured.
