The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit along with assistance from the G.B.I., D.E.A., G.S.P. and the Southeast Regional Fugitive Taskforce conducted a sting netting three subjects transporting Methamphetamine a.k.a. Meth to the Macon area from Atlanta area.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit were conducting an investigation on another case when they received information of a large amount of Meth that was going to be delivered to the Macon-Bibb area. Investigators only had limited information on the Drug Traffickers but were able to find out the location the drugs were to be dropped off and when.

On February 19, 2016 just after 03:30p.m. Investigators arrested three subjects in the parking lot of the Sam’s Club Parking lot at 4701 Log Cabin Dr. while they were attempting to deliver the Meth. The arrests were the culmination of over a month long investigation into the transportation of Meth into the Middle Georgia area. All three suspects were arrested for Trafficking of Methamphetamine a schedule II drug. They were in possession of over a kilogram of Meth at the time of their arrest.

Jose Rivera- 28yr old H/M from Warner Robins GA- Trafficking Meth

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is thankful to all the Officers and Agencies that worked on this case to make sure this dangerous drug did not make it to the streets of Middle Georgia.
