Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators and the U.S. Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 19 year old Jadarien Shamar Flowers, of Macon, in connection with the murder of 23 year old Vernard Mays that occurred on October 27, 2015 at 2417 Second Street. Flowers was picked up at around 2:15PM Tuesday as he was leaving the Riverside Gardens Apartment Complex located at 575 Baxter Avenue. A Crimestoppers tip led U.S. Marshals and Bibb Sheriff’s Investigators to the whereabouts of Flowers.
Flowers was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and booked on the charge of murder and also on a probation violation charge. No bond has been set.
