The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office will host the moving “Georgia Law Enforcement Memorial Wall” at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, located at 668 Oglethorpe Street, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. The Memorial Wall will be set up in the L.E.C. parking lot on the First Street Side across from the Macon-Bibb Fire Station.
At 3:00 p.m. there will be a brief ceremony during which Deputy T.J. Freeman’s name will be unveiled on the moving “Georgia Law Enforcement Memorial Wall”. In addition, at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, there will be an unveiling of Deputy T.J. Freeman’s name on the “Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Memorial Wall” inside the L.E.C. lobby.
During the year of 2016, Georgia lost 9 Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line- of duty. The moving “Georgia Law Enforcement Memorial Wall” is part of the Fallen Heroes Tour which travels around the state with the help of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Georgia Chapter 7. The moving “Georgia Law Enforcement Memorial Wall” stands to be a constant reminder to all that a great loss has occurred to the families, departments and every community in our state. To remind us all of the sacrifice of a fallen hero and their service to the community.
