The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office along with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Jones County Sheriff’s Office and Forsyth Police Department will be participating in the Central Georgia Coffee with a Cop event on Monday, May 11, 2015. The event is scheduled to be held at the Starbucks located at 4640 Forsyth Road, 8:00AM to 10:00AM. Citizens are invited to come out, have a cup of coffee and share in some conversation with local law enforcement officers in your community.
Coffee with a cop is a nationwide event. It provides an atmosphere that is relaxing and neutral, where there are no agendas, speeches or preplanned subject matters. This will be a time that the citizen can sit down with a deputy/officer one on one and talk about whatever concerns is important to them. It is also a time that the citizen and deputy/officer can get to know each other and build a trusting relationship to work on mutual goals to make their community better.
